About the Consumer Duty

The Consumer Duty is an FCA standard, in force since 31 July 2023, requiring firms to deliver and evidence good outcomes for retail customers across four areas: products and services, price and value, consumer understanding, and consumer support. This checker is a quick, informal self-assessment against those outcomes. It is not regulatory advice, and a high score is not a guarantee of compliance.

This tool gives a rough estimate for guidance only. It is not a lending decision, credit or financial advice, or a regulated affordability assessment. Figures are illustrative.
